A playful interpretation of the landscape at Flommen, where water, light and lily pads come together in a quiet moment of movement. Inspired by the nature in Skanör-Falsterbo where Edda lives.
Deep blues and greens create a sense of depth across the water, while touches of pink, yellow and turquoise bring the painting to life. Loose, expressive brushstrokes capture the shifting reflections and organic shapes of the landscape, giving the familiar scene a contemporary and slightly dreamlike quality.
Flommen – Hål 17 is part of an exploration of the places and moments that stay with us — translated through colour, movement and gesture rather than a literal representation of the landscape.
The natural palette and vibrant accents make the work equally suited to a calm, contemporary interior or as a more playful focal point.
This is an original, one-of-a-kind oil painting by Edda Detter, signed on the front and framed in untreated Ayous wood, ready to hang.
